Trailhead and parking
Start at the lower Mount Herman lot, at Nursery Road and Mount Herman Road.
Climb Mount Herman Road around the south shoulder of the mountain to Trail 715. The summit trail (716) comes first, so don't take that one.
A quiet canyon, earned.
This is a big day. Bring food, water and a map.
Steep start.
Trail 715 opens with a steep, loose climb. Plenty of riders walk it.
Into the canyon.
The trail drops into Limbaugh Canyon through meadows and aspens, with rock gardens as the canyon narrows.
Watch your turns.
Near the bottom, stay on the main route. The old mining road dead-ends at private property.
Back to town.
A traverse around Raspberry Mountain and Mount Herman brings you back toward the trailhead.
[CONFIRM] Route description and a crew tip (which way to ride it, best season)
